This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, how we use it, with whom we share it, and what rights you have in relation to that data. It applies to all users of TrendPlnr, including those who connect their TikTok accounts via TikTok Login Kit.
By using TrendPlnr you acknowledge that you have read and understood this policy. If you do not agree with these terms, please discontinue use of the Service.
Information We Collect
We collect the following categories of personal data:
2a — Data collected via TikTok Login Kit
When you connect your TikTok account to TrendPlnr using TikTok Login Kit, TikTok provides us with the following data (subject to the permissions you grant at the time of authorisation):
- •TikTok user ID — a unique identifier assigned to your TikTok account
- •Display name / username — the name shown on your TikTok profile
- •Profile photo — your TikTok avatar image
- •Bio / description — the text from your TikTok profile biography
- •Public account statistics — follower count, following count, total likes received, and video count
- •Public video data — captions, hashtags, engagement metrics (views, likes, comments, shares, saves), sound information, and posting timestamps for your public videos
- •Verification status and region — as returned by the TikTok API
We do not request or store TikTok private messages, private account content, payment information, or any TikTok data beyond what is necessary to provide the Service.
2b — Data collected through app usage
- •Content ideas — titles, hooks, descriptions, categories, and tags you create within the Idea Bank
- •Scheduled posts — post drafts, captions, hooks, and scheduling metadata you enter into the Content Planner
- •Account preferences — display name, niche, campaign names, and any profile settings you configure
- •Manager / client relationships — if you use the multi-account manager feature, relationship records and permission levels
- •AI-generated content — hooks, captions, and content suggestions generated for your account are stored temporarily to improve the Service
- •Voice profile — a writing-style analysis derived from your own content, used to personalise AI output
2c — Technical and usage data
- •IP address — collected at login and during active sessions for security purposes
- •Device and browser information — browser type, operating system, device type, and app version
- •Session and authentication tokens — managed via Supabase to keep you logged in securely
- •Usage analytics — page views, feature interactions, and session duration collected in aggregated, anonymised form

How We Use Your Information
We use the data we collect for the following purposes:
- •Providing the Service — to display your TikTok profile and statistics on your dashboard, populate your content calendar, and surface your stored ideas
- •Personalising content suggestions — to generate AI hooks, captions, and ideas that reflect your individual writing style (voice profile) and content niche
- •Trend and performance analysis — to calculate engagement rates, posting frequency, best-performing videos, and growth trends shown within the app
- •Analytics and service improvement — to understand how features are used in aggregate and to improve the product; this data is anonymised where possible
- •Security and fraud prevention — to detect unusual activity and protect user accounts
- •Communication — to send service-related notifications (e.g. account alerts, policy updates); we will not send unsolicited marketing emails without your explicit consent
- •Legal compliance — to comply with applicable laws, regulations, and lawful requests from competent authorities
We never sell your personal data to third parties. TikTok account data obtained via Login Kit is used solely to enable the functionality described above and is not shared with, sold to, or otherwise transferred to any third party for advertising, profiling, or commercial purposes.
✓ Our commitment: We process your data only to the extent necessary to provide and improve TrendPlnr. We do not use your TikTok data for any purpose that is not directly related to the features you use within the app.
TikTok Data Specifically
This section is specifically relevant to TikTok’s Platform Policy requirements for applications that access the TikTok API and use TikTok Login Kit.
TrendPlnr integrates with TikTok’s Platform through the TikTok Login Kit and Data API. All data obtained from TikTok via these integrations is handled in strict accordance with TikTok’s Platform Policy and the terms of TikTok’s Developer Agreement.
- •Permitted use only — TikTok data (including profile information and video metrics) is used solely to display your content statistics, personalise your planning experience, and enable the features described in this policy. It is not used for any purpose outside the scope of TikTok's API terms.
- •No unauthorised sharing — We do not share TikTok account data with any third party that has not been reviewed and authorised under TikTok's Platform Policy. The only third-party service that processes your TikTok data is our database infrastructure provider (Supabase — see Section 5).
- •No sale of TikTok data — TikTok-sourced data is never sold, rented, traded, or otherwise transferred for commercial gain.
- •Minimal data access — We request only the TikTok API scopes strictly necessary to provide the Service. We do not access your TikTok direct messages, private videos, drafts, or any content you have not made publicly available.
- •Data deletion on disconnection — If you disconnect your TikTok account from TrendPlnr, or if you request deletion of your TrendPlnr account, all TikTok-sourced data associated with your account will be deleted from our systems within 30 days.
Revoking TikTok access
You can revoke TrendPlnr’s access to your TikTok account at any time by visiting your TikTok app settings: Settings and Privacy → Security → Apps and Website Permissions → Manage App Permissions. Revoking access does not automatically delete the data already stored in TrendPlnr — to request full deletion please contact us (see Section 11).
Data Sharing & Third Parties
We do not sell, rent, or broker your personal data. We share data only with the following categories of trusted sub-processors, strictly to operate the Service:
Your account data, content ideas, TikTok statistics, and uploaded assets are stored in Supabase-managed infrastructure. Supabase is GDPR-compliant and processes data under a Data Processing Agreement. Supabase Privacy Policy
TrendPlnr's web application and API routes are hosted on Vercel. Request logs (including IP addresses) may be retained for a short period for debugging purposes. Vercel Privacy Policy
Hooks, captions, and content ideas generated by our AI feature are processed via Anthropic's API. Only the minimal content necessary for generation (e.g. your content title, category, and voice profile summary) is sent to Anthropic. We use a RapidAPI-hosted TikTok data service to fetch public profile and video statistics when you sync your TikTok account. Only your public TikTok username is sent to this service. RapidAPI Privacy Policy
We may also disclose personal data where required by law, court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of TrendPlnr, its users, or the public, provided such disclosure is consistent with applicable data protection legislation.
Data Retention
We retain your personal data only for as long as necessary to provide the Service and fulfil the purposes described in this policy.
- •Active accounts — data is retained for the duration of your account and for up to 90 days after account deletion, to allow recovery of accidental deletions.
- •TikTok-sourced data — retained while your TikTok account is connected. Deleted within 30 days of disconnection or account deletion.
- •Content ideas and posts — retained until you delete them manually or until your account is deleted.
- •Usage logs and analytics — aggregated logs are retained for up to 12 months; individual session logs are purged after 30 days.
- •Legal hold — we may retain certain data for longer periods where required by applicable law (e.g. tax or accounting obligations).
To request deletion of your data at any time, please contact us using the details in Section 11.
Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction you may have the following rights regarding your personal data. These rights apply under the UK GDPR, EU GDPR, and other applicable data protection laws.
Right of access
Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
Right to rectification
Ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
Right to erasure
Request deletion of your personal data ("right to be forgotten").
Right to restriction
Ask us to pause processing while a complaint is resolved.
Right to portability
Receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format.

Object to processing carried out on the basis of legitimate interests.

UK users:If you are unsatisfied with our response, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint.
EU users: You may also contact the supervisory authority in your member state of residence.
Children’s Privacy
TrendPlnr is not directed at, and is not intended for use by, children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you are under 13, please do not use TrendPlnr or provide any personal information through the Service.
If you are the parent or guardian of a child and believe your child has provided us with personal data, please contact us immediately at hello@trendplnr.com. We will take prompt steps to delete the data from our systems.
Users in the European Union must be at least 16 years old (or have verifiable parental consent) to use the Service, in accordance with GDPR Article 8.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the law, our data practices, or the features of TrendPlnr. When we make material changes, we will:
